Coconut chocolates/coconut balls

Coconut chocolates:


½ cup caster sugar
1 egg white, beaten
¼ cup milk
2 tbsp icing sugar, sifted
½ tsp vanilla essence
2 cups dessicated coconut
Melted chocolate, to dip chocos in

crushed peanut (optional)

Combine milk and caster sugar in a pan and heat through without boiling, till sugar dissolves. Remove and cool. Transfer to a large bowl. Stir in coconut, egg white, icing sugar,peanuts (optional), essence, refrigerate. Form small balls.
Refrigerate again. Dip them in melted chocolate, put them on a tray lined with greaseproof paper. Sprinkle little coconut on top and refrigerate.
