Machomo Beef Recipe


Ingredients

  • Beef undercut ½ kg
  • Bay leaf 1
  • Potato chopped 1
  • Onion chopped 2
  • Green chilies sliced 3
  • Fresh red chilies chopped 2 – 3
  • Garlic 4 cloves
  • Ginger (juliennes) 1 piece
  • Whole black pepper 1 tsp
  • Cloves ½ tsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

Cut ½ kg undercut into thin long strips, now boil with 2 cloves of garlic, 1 tsp whole black pepper, ½ tsp cloves, 1 bay leaf and 1 chopped onion. Cover and cook for 15 – 20 minutes till beef is tender.
Remove beef from pan, shred it well.
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok, add 1 chopped onion, chopped ginger, chopped green chilies, chopped garlic and fry till golden brown.
Now add shredded beef with salt to taste. Fry well till water dries.
Now make burgers with shredded chicken mixture or roll using pita bread.
Serve hot.
