Baked Chocolate Chip Cheese Cake Recipe

Ingredients
Base
- 2 cups chocolate biscuit crumbs
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
Filling
- 16 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 cups cream, mixed with 1-2 tbsp lemon juice, to make sour cream
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Method
For the base, grind the biscuits finely and mix in the melted butter. Press down in a greased 9” springform pan, chill whilst you are making the filling. For the filling, beat cream cheese and add in sugar, sour cream, eggs and essence. Stir in 1/2 cup of the chocolate chips only. Pour filling over the and sprinkle remaining chocolate chips. Bake at 180 c for 40 minutes. Turn off the and let it be in the oven for another hour, do not open the oven door during this time, after an hour removes and let cool. Chill overnight and serve.
